Going to a church for the first time can be intimidating. This page answers your questions about going to Southside. And if we left something out, let us know by asking a question.

Our mission statement is Connecting Life with Faith in Christ. We desire to glorify God and obey Him in every aspect of our personal lives and our church. Please check out our teachings, our ministry pages, and listen to recent sermons. You can also post a question. And you’re always welcome to contact a member of our ministerial staff.

Our campus is at 209 Marsheutz Ave. SE, near the hospital district in Huntsville, Alabama. If this is your first visit to Southside, we suggest you stop by the welcome center just inside the doors nearest the steeple. You can get directions and even a guide to help you find your away around. Visitor parking is across the street from the worship center, on the south side of Marsheutz.

The Sunday morning worship service is at 10:00. But there’s always something going on at Southside. Check out the calendar for ministry times, locations, and descriptions.

You don’t have to bring anything. You might bring a pen for note-taking. There’s usually a fill-in-the-blank sermon outline in the worship handout you will receive when you walk in the door. If you have a Bible, bring it. If you would like to worship through giving financially, you will have an opportunity to do that.

God doesn’t look at your appearance, but at our hearts (1 Sam. 16:7).  So dress up, or dress down. If you look around on a typical Sunday, you’ll see blue jeans and business suits worshipping together.

Set your alarm, and we’ll see you at the welcome center just before 10:00 on Sunday. You may just be starting the most important thing you’ve ever done.
