Usher Ministry

“ . . . what does the Lord your God require from you . . . to serve the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your soul . . . ” - Deuteronomy 10:12

The primary function of the Usher Ministry is to be of service to Southside members and guests before, during and after worship services and to assist in developing a heart for worship in the Church. This ministry must be a high priority because these men provide that very important “first” impression to our guests. People will be drawn to a church where warmth and concern for their needs is offered and ushers represent the entire church in creating that atmosphere.

The usher captains and team members should be able to demonstrate genuine warmth for others. Men who have an enthusiasm for the Lord and His Church and a servant’s heart will help to make the Usher Ministry a truly successful “ministry”.

Opportunities for service include offering collection, greeting members and guests, worship bulletin distribution and assisting in special needs during the worship services.
