The primary mission of the Drama Ministry is to serve as a ministry tool for evangelizing the lost and edifying the believer by communicating God’s truth through the use of dramatic arts. The ministry will also serve as a resource for equipping believers to minister through the use of the dramatic arts. Ultimately, the drama ministry will strive to have an impact on people’s hearts and to strengthen their relationship with God.

The Drama Ministry will seek to serve as an outlet for presenting dramatic expression in the most effective media available to reach various target audiences. It will not only become a valuable and integral part of worship and teaching at Southside but will equip for impacting the community outside the church.

Initially, the three primary areas of service are acting, directing and writing. The media used will consist of short skits, mimes, monologues and interpretive movement with the future incorporation of full-length plays, musicals and video productions.
